Lotr Bfme 1 Crack Fix

Ever since the release of the Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle Earth (BFME) 1 in 2002, GameSpy has been providing servers and services for this game. This all changed when EA acquired the rights to publish and distribute BFME1 on November 30th, 2013. EA no longer wanted GameSpy to provide services for BFME1 so they decided to shut down their servers which would render any installations of BFME1 unplayable past December 31st, 2013. The developers behind Kodi had a brilliant idea - if they could create a patch that would intercept traffic from GameSpy and redirect it to their desired server address then they could save users from having to abandon their favorite game. Their idea was very successful and they were able to create a patch that would replace GameSpy traffic with their own servers. This solution worked so well that other developers such as HaMimic and Binkd were able to implement similar patches on their sites. Since EA acquired the rights to BFME1, they have been working on patching BFME1 so it would work with GameSpy's server address ending January 1st, 2014. However, this task proved a very tricky one since EA decided to change the code for many files that run through GameSpy's servers. The patch did work at the half way point until EA released a new update for BFME1 which removed the client from being able to connect to GameSpy so it became unplayable past January 1st, 2014. As a result of this patch, many servers were left with players who were not able to connect anymore nor get help from other players because they did not have any way of accessing servers that were available. While some decided to switch over to HaMimic and Binkd's alternative servers, many users found a way to bypass this problem by using a technique called Dampening. The technique was discovered by a user named 'Castle' who wanted to preserve a method made for BFME1 by HaMimic for those who could not connect through GameSpy's servers. The technique involved configuring your hostname to point at a special server that would bypass the GameSpy server address. Using this method, it is possible to bypass GameSpy's servers and use their GameSpy service after January 1st, 2014. Since this was an option for those who were able to play BFME1 prior to November 30th, 2013, many users experienced difficulty playing their favorite game after EA took over the rights to publish and distribute the game on December 31st, 2013. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8w8tB7zoV8c The patch and the server it is used with were created by GameSpy and can be found on their website: http://gamespy.com/bfme1-crack-fix/. The files must be downloaded and then run as administrator for it to work correctly. The patch was only released on the official website for download as of December 31st, 2013. It is unknown whether or not GameSpy would allow other websites to host the patch on their servers since they were under pressure from EA to release the patch when they did in order to preserve their business agreement.
